"The special "Mickey Mouse" motif item is back this year!"
Chambray shirts, believed to have originated in Europe around the 16th to 18th centuries and adopted as workwear in America from the late 19th to early 20th century, were originally worn by laborers and military personnel. Over time, they became a staple in denim brands and workwear collections, now considered an essential classic in American casual fashion. This time, the design is based on the 1940s U.S. Navy style, featuring indigo chambray fabric made by the renowned Shuttle Notes company. The bold print of the 1970s "Mickey Mouse" adorns the back, making this a special piece perfectly suited for the start of the fall and winter seasons.

"An Aura That Could Be Mistaken for Vintage"
The "Mickey Mouse" design was originally used on short-sleeve sweatshirts and chambray shirts of the time. For this piece, we’ve selected a classic 1970s "Mickey Mouse" design. To faithfully recreate the vintage feel, the inkjet print is intentionally distressed to give it a worn, faded look—capturing the true spirit of vintage style.
The slightly extended collar faithfully reproduces the style of 1940s U.S. Navy garments, capturing the authentic vintage silhouette with careful attention to historical accuracy.
The generously sized armholes provide a relaxed, easy-to-layer fit—perfect for this season. While maintaining a roomy feel, tuck details at the cuffs create a refined silhouette from the shoulders down to the sleeves.
Details like the hem’s hanging loop and the gusset—commonly seen up through the 1960s—are incorporated to delight vintage enthusiasts.
The fabric uses indigo chambray from Shuttle Notes. By employing yarn-dyed indigo, this item allows you to enjoy natural aging and fading, a characteristic feature of BARNS OUTFITTERS products.
