"A highly anticipated new printed item"
Making its debut in the Spring/Summer 2026 season, "The Best Pocket T" has quickly become a standout favorite. Inspired by vintage blank tees, this piece features a modern, boxy silhouette with a shorter length, perfectly capturing today’s trends. Crafted from a high-gauge knit fabric with a beautifully refined luster and finished with traditional blind-stitch detailing, it represents BARNS OUTFITTERS' vision of the "best-balanced" pocket tee.
We are proud to introduce the first graphic edition from this highly anticipated lineup: the Smoking Skull Cowboy.

“LOVE SMELLS BETTER DEAD”
This design features a Skull Cowboy enjoying a quiet cigar, channeling the rebellious spirit of 1950s and 60s outlaw culture. Adorning his hat is the cynical phrase, "LOVE SMELLS BETTER DEAD"—a bold, destructive, yet strangely romantic message that reflects the hard-boiled philosophy of those living on the fringes of society.
In a refined touch, the graphic is placed exclusively on the chest pocket, maintaining a clean and understated look. Utilizing a "Crack" print technique, the design is destined to age beautifully, developing a weathered character that deepens with every wear.
For the neckline, we’ve utilized a "Tako-binder" (self-fabric neck tape). This not only preserves the historical aesthetic but also reinforces the collar, preventing it from stretching over time—a thoughtful improvement on the original design.
Designed with a generous body width and spacious armholes, this piece creates a natural drop-shoulder silhouette that exudes a sophisticated, laid-back charm.
Knitted at a high gauge, the fabric features a beautiful, dense grain and a sophisticated natural luster. This premium texture provides a sharp, refined counterpoint to the relaxed silhouette, ensuring that while the fit is comfortable and airy, the overall look remains crisp and polished.
