"The best casual wear for your daily life"
An original TSURIAMI fabric made with great care from the yarn on. The greatest feature is the coexistence of the softness that can only be achieved by TSURIAMI machine, which slowly knits the fabric while allowing plenty of air in, and the firmness that comes from knitting with a tighter stitch. The silhouette is a timeless standard silhouette. The inset gusset at the neck has the details of a vintage sweatshirt and a moderate appearance while being comfortable to wear, making it the perfect piece for everyday wear.
The raglan sleeves increase the range of motion and reduce stiffness around the shoulders when wearing an outer garment, and the four-needle flat-seam stitching makes for a completely stress-free garment.
The round body with no side seams gives a clean look and a stress-free fit.
*XL size has side seams.
The softness of the fabric, born from the ultimate in efficiency, and the texture that improves with wear are unique to the "TSURIAMI machine" and cannot be imitated by any other machine. The fleece lining allows you to wear it for a long period of time from autumn to spring.
"TSURIAMI"
The "hanging knitting machine" was developed about 100 years ago during the Taisho era. The machine is hung from a beam, and the knitted fabric accumulates under the machine under its own weight. Hanging knitting machines, which can only knit about 10 meters of fabric per day, have been eliminated over the years due to their inefficiency, and most of them have been abandoned, leaving only a few, and have switched to sinker knitting machines. In addition, since it is an old machine, it is difficult to maintain and difficult to obtain parts in case of breakdown, so it is a very rare knitting machine that will eventually disappear. However, the unique softness and firmness of the knitted fabric, which slowly incorporates air and minimizes stress on the fabric, are unique features of hanging knitting. BARNS OUTFITTERS has been selling it as a staple for many years.
