"Smile Collection"
The city of Fussa in Tokyo, about 40 km from the center of the city, has a somewhat American atmosphere, partly due to the Yokota Air Base. NORTH WORKS is a workshop and atelier in a renovated U.S. military house, where they continue to create products with unchanging value based on basic designs. Each item is made by hand, so each piece has a slightly different face, which becomes the flavor of the item. The new collection for Fall/Winter 2025 features a special collaboration between BARNS OUTFITTERS and NORTH WORKS, highlighting the brand's iconic Smile motif. The Smile Collection was specially commissioned by BARNS OUTFITTERS and includes a series of accessories centered around the iconic smiling face. A bangle featuring the iconic smile and a mix of distinctive stamp work designs.

"Smile and Stamp Work"
What if Native Americans had believed in a "smile" deity…? This imaginative concept inspired a design featuring an iconic smile combined with stamped lines created using various stamp tools. The arrow motif symbolizes protection, traditionally believed to ward off evil when worn as an accessory.
The inside is stamped with the logos of both BARNS OUTFITTERS and NORTH WORKS. Each stamp is applied by hand, resulting in a one-of-a-kind finish unique to every piece.
【NORTH WORKS】
With vintage American coins as its core, the company incorporates the beauty of materials collected from around the world into basic designs, and continues to produce unchanging products by hand.
