"A special item that is a wide version of a standard item"
When talking about the brand BARNS OUTFITTERS, we cannot avoid mentioning the items made using the "TSURIAMI machine." Among them, the sweatshirt series called TSURIAMI fleece, which has been produced for many years as a staple item for the fall and winter season, is a round body with no side seams, so the diameter of the knitting machine used is the same as the width of the body. It is said that there are very few large-diameter knitting machines in existence, so it was almost impossible to realize a large width with a round body, but thanks to our many years of manufacturing experience and the cooperation of all related parties, it has become possible to produce it by making fine gauge adjustments. We have added white to the lineup, which has not been available on the official website until now. This is a truly endangered special item that could be stopped from production at any time due to various circumstances.

"Superb comfort"
The fabric is soft and firm due to the dense weave, which makes it extremely comfortable to wear. There are only a few TSURIAMI machines in existence, and this fabric is produced by adjusting the gauge of an even rarer large-diameter knitting machine, making it an endangered species that could be discontinued at any time. The ribs are also densely woven, so the fabric bounces back, making it an item that is less likely to stretch and can be worn for a long time. The gray version has a special specification in which the ribs are knitted to match the body color.
The armholes are generously made to fit the wide body width. The exquisite finish gives a relaxed fit without looking sloppy.
The round-body body with no side seams is a special specification that has been said to be impossible to achieve with this width. The clean look and stress-free comfort are unique to the round-body body. Those who know will understand that it is a special item.
The original BARNS OUTFITTERS knitted fabric is soft and has a firm texture, making it extremely comfortable to wear. It has a fleece , so it can be worn from autumn to spring.
"TSURIAMI"
The fabric is knitted slowly with plenty of air using a hanging knitting machine that has been in use for about 100 years in Wakayama Prefecture, and its greatest feature is its exquisite tension and comfortable fit that wraps around the body. Modern mainstream sinker knitting machines can knit about 10 bolts (about 300m) per day, while hanging knitting machines can only knit about 10m per day. It may be said that it is inefficient, but the fabric is knitted slowly without putting stress on the yarn and fabric, and while it is full of air, it is soft and fluffy. Furthermore, BARNS OUTFITTERS does not roll up the knitted fabric, but instead allows it to fall naturally under its own weight and accumulate under the machine, so the stress on the fabric is as close to zero as possible.
Also, as you wear it, the fabric will fit your body and change its appearance into a one-of-a-kind item.
