"2025S/S season colors now available"
A popular heavy thermal item that is considered a hidden masterpiece has been renewed and is now back on the market. The neck has been changed to a tough double-binder neck design, making it even tougher and less likely to stretch. Thermals are usually worn as innerwear, but BARNS OUTFITTERS has created a thick fabric that is comfortable to wear and can be worn simply by itself. The faded blue color, which features a refreshing color that is perfect for the spring and summer season, is now available as an item to launch the 25SS season. "Renewed with tougher details"
This piece is a symbol of American casual style, with a moderately thick and firm fabric that feels good against the skin and a vintage-like finish that is resistant to deformation and stretching. The collar and sleeves were made of rib knit milling, but the collar has been changed to a tough double-binder neck design and the cuffs are made of double milling, which emphasizes the resistance to stretching and toughness.
This unique thermal is made with the flat seam stitching that is a BARNS OUTFITTERS specialty, reducing stress on the skin and making it comfortable to wear.
?
The left and right hem and cuffs are sewn and the thread is left hanging, a feature called "empty loop" that was common for sewing machines at the time. It is said to be a vintage detail, but today it is a luxurious specification that requires skill and effort to reproduce the techniques of the time.
Thermals made of waffle fabric with a textured surface are a staple item in American casual, military and outdoor wear. The textured surface of the fabric creates a layer of air when worn, which increases the thermal insulation properties.
