"Vintage Anchor Snap and Chromexcel Leather"
From the ever-popular Button Works comes a luxurious belt keeper crafted with a vintage North & Judd anchor snap and CHROMEXCEL® leather from the renowned Horween Leather Company. Horween's Chromexcel is a meticulously crafted leather that has been hand-tanned using traditional methods for over a century. Only steer hides over 2.5mm thick are carefully selected by the tanners, and through a unique combination tanning process, the leather is treated with a proprietary blend of oils—resulting in a truly special material.
An embossed mark—a testament to Button Works craftsmanship. This subtle detail elevates the special item to an even higher level of distinction.
A reproduction inspired by belt keepers once adopted by the U.S. Navy. The vintage anchor snap features a small yet distinctive stamped anchor emblem.
【BUTTON WORKS】
Buttons, zippers, novelty goods, snaps—once considered minor details in workwear—are meticulously researched and reproduced using traditional American manufacturing techniques and materials. Through this dedication to revival, they bring fresh value and perspective to the apparel industry.
【Horween社】
Founded in 1905 in Chicago, Illinois, Horween is a long-established tannery with over a century of history. Renowned for its commitment to traditional tanning techniques, Horween produces leather that is unparalleled in beauty, combining delicate texture with rugged durability. Alongside its famous Chromexcel® leather, the company is also celebrated for Shell Cordovan—often referred to as the “diamond of leather”—a luxurious material admired by leather enthusiasts around the world.
【North&Judd】
Established in 1812 in Connecticut, North & Judd was a manufacturer specializing in hardware for horseback riding, trouser fasteners, military equipment, and seat belt buckles. It was one of the first companies to manufacture seatbelt buckles for automobiles. So well-known were they that many Americans are said to have learned what a seatbelt was through North & Judd.
